The stay
Octopus Cottage is an original 1940s Millman cottage on beachfront property, about 30 steps from the beach path, with a private fenced yard, hot tub and fully equipped kitchen.
Spend your days kayaking, fishing and watching bay sunsets. Three kayaks — two singles and a tandem — are provided with paddles and life jackets.
The cottage shares the property with the host’s home and a detached storage garage; those buildings are not accessible to guests.

Policies
For new direct bookings, Standard cancellation includes a full refund at least 30 days before check-in or within 24 hours of booking. The 24-hour booking window ends at check-in, if earlier.
Outside those windows, rental refunds follow Refund When Rebooked. No processing or cancellation fee is deducted. Your reservation's accepted terms govern eligibility; existing bookings retain their accepted policy.
Extended cancellation is an optional Dreamspace cancellation waiver, not travel insurance. Cancel before the day before check-in begins, at midnight in the property’s local time, for a full refund of the booking price, taxes and cleaning tip. The Extended cancellation purchase price, including its tax, is retained. After that deadline, Standard cancellation applies. Extended cancellation must be selected at booking.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance.

Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my dog?
Up to two dogs per stay; more require advance approval. Dogs cost $50 per dog per night. All pets must be registered.
Please bring house-trained pets, take them out frequently and clean up after them. Use the outdoor shower after returning from the beach.
A quilted sofa cover is stored under the bed for visits with pets or young children. Please use it to protect the sofa from sandy paws and sticky fingers.
Where can I park?
Two driveway spaces are available. Park on the driveway to the left of the cottage or on the side street, keeping neighboring access clear.
What are the check-in and checkout arrangements?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM. Checkout is by 11:00 AM. Contact Dreamspace about early arrival or late departure.
Unless specifically approved by the host, a $50 late-checkout fee applies after 11:00 AM through 1:00 PM.
Checkout is by 11:00 AM. Unless otherwise approved by Dreamspace, departure after 1:00 PM incurs a charge of half the nightly rental rate. This replaces, rather than adds to, any standard late-checkout fee. A late-checkout charge does not grant permission to extend your stay.
Please start the dishwasher before checkout; detergent is under the sink.
What is included in the booking price?
Your booking price includes cleaning, any dog fees and selected extras. Taxes are shown separately at checkout before payment. Rates are quoted in USD.
Optional cancellation protection is a paid waiver. Its displayed price includes applicable tax; the protection charge is retained when you cancel under its terms.
